After almost 20 years with Farm Bureau Insurance Companies, Allen Bell had the opportunity to purchase Okaloosa Insurance from longtime friend and mentor, Jerry Parker. Allen had been searching for flexibility and access to more markets and Okaloosa Insurance was the perfect fit. Allen had a desire to build a future for his family and a legacy that could pass to the next generation; hence the name, Legacy Insurance.
Allen is a 5th generation Floridian and has been married for 38 years to Kimberlea Barrow, a descendant of one of the great pioneer families of territorial Florida. Allen and Kim met as freshmen in Gainesville and both graduated from the University of Florida. They raised their children on ancestral land in North Okaloosa County – a place called Higher Ground. Their story is one of deep faith and gratitude for the source of all blessings. Allen is an Eagle Scout, past President of the Crestview Rotary Club and longtime member of the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce. He is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. Personal time is spent hunting, fishing, cooking and pushing things over with his tractor.

Erik Fordyce, Shareholder/Agent
Erik Fordyce joined the Legacy team in 2009. As a former Licensed Residential Contractor, Erik brings a wealth of experience that enhances his career as a licensed 220 agent. His understanding of construction methods and building codes comes in handy when choosing the proper insurance fit for each unique situation. Erik is a seasoned personal lines agent and a vital part of the future of Legacy Insurance. He is second-in-command at Legacy and he keeps the technology side of the business running smoothly.
Erik was born in Indiana, grew up in Crestview, and is a graduate of Crestview High School. He married his high school sweetheart, who happens to be Allen’s daughter, Sara. Erik and Sara have twin daughters, Allison and Abigail. Erik enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking, basketball and cheering for whatever his daughters happen to be doing.

Pamela Myers, CPCU, ARM, Agent
Pam received her Bachelor of Science in Insurance/Risk Management and Real Estate from FSU in 1978 and began her insurance career with Aetna Casualty and Surety in Tampa in 1979. She earned her Master of Insurance from Georgia State University in 1983. She joined her father, Jerry Parker, at Okaloosa Insurance Agency in 1991 and has been a part of the Legacy team since 2010. Her experience in both commercial and personal lines is a critical part of our team. She has a passion for teaching and holds a Florida Teacher Certification.
Pam married Bill Myers in 1986 and they have a daughter, Tiffany, and a son, Ivan. The family also includes grandchildren, Alex and Katie Sherman. Pam has been a church pianist for over 40 years and currently serves as pianist at First United Methodist Church in Crestview. She has played in Baptist, Methodist and Presbyterian churches in Crestview, Tallahassee, Tampa and Atlanta. She enjoys music, especially playing piano and handbells. She also enjoys camping and beach time with family and friends, marching with alumni of the FSU Marching Chiefs and FSU football.

Dawn Mann, AIAM, Agent
Dawn began her insurance career in 1992 as an agent in Virginia Beach, Virginia. From there, she went to an agency in California and then to an agency of her own in Crestview. With 23 years of experience in both personal and commercial lines, she found her home at Legacy as a Commercial Insurance and Marketing Specialist. She joined the Legacy team in 2011. She holds a 220 Property and Casualty License and an Associate in Insurance Account Management designation.
Dawn is a graduate of Leadership Okaloosa and has served on numerous board positions for the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce where she is very active. She is a member of the Building Industry Association of Walton and Okaloosa Counties, Emerald Coast Association of Realtors and NOMC Heathy Woman. She is recipient of the Dr. W.J. “Doc Burrows” Citizen of the Year Award. She credits her work ethic and positive attitude to the example of her hard working parents. She has a 10 year old son who is her “ray of sunshine”! In the rare moments when she is not thinking up new marketing strategies, she enjoys golf, music and dancing.

Lynda Bush, Office Manager/CSR
Lynda is a Crestview native and a graduate of Crestview High School. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of West Florida, majoring in Business Administration. In 1997, while still attending college, she and her husband, Ryan, purchased a small business, Medley Printing, Inc. Since that time, they acquired two additional businesses and continue to be blessed with the success of their business. After completing her graduate degree, Lynda decided to branch out from the family business and joined Legacy Insurance in 2010. Along with her other credentials, she is a licensed CSR and serves as Office Manager and bookkeeper.
Lynda and Ryan have been married 18 years. They have two active teenagers, R.J. and Jenna. Lynda enjoys reading, watching college football and softball, and, of course, cheering on her kids at whatever they happen to be doing. She treasures her Sunday dinners with her parents, sisters, nephews and niece and is grateful for the memories being made with them.

Mercedes Jones, CSR
Mercedes graduated from Laurel Hill High School and earned an Associate of Arts from Northwest Florida State College in 2012. She came to Legacy Insurance after seven years at a local bank. She is a licensed CSR and is ready to help anyone who walks through the door.
Mercedes was born and raised in Okaloosa County. Her family owns Day’s Tire and Service Center which has been a part of the Crestview business scene for almost 40 years. She married her high school sweetheart, TJ Jones, in 2013 and they reside in Laurel Hill. Mercedes and TJ own Laurel Oak Retrievers where they raise and train champion Labrador Retrievers. They compete in field trials and hunt tests all over the South and their puppies are highly sought after.
